As The Garden Barn continues to grow, so does our focus.

Over the past few years, our specialty has become clear: growing exceptional bedding plants right here on site. To make room for expanded greenhouse production and more homegrown annuals, vegetables, and herbs, we are no longer stocking trees for walk-in sales throughout the season.

But we’re not saying goodbye to trees.
We’re just doing them smarter.

Instead of carrying a limited number of trees on the lot, we’re switching to a tree pre-order program that benefits everyone.

Here’s how it works:

• Choose your trees early from a much larger catalog than we could ever stock in person
• We order them specifically for you at special discount pricing
• Pick them up in April, right at the ideal planting time
  • Not quite ready to plant? No problem. Trees are perfectly happy staying in their pots until you’re ready to get them in the ground. Just keep them watered and protected from extreme conditions, and plant when it works for you.

All pre-ordered trees arrive fully rooted in their containers, making them stronger, healthier, and easier to establish than bare-root trees. This means less transplant shock, more flexibility with planting timing, and better long-term success.
